Your production office, from a conversation.
SetClerk stores production projects, crew assignments, paperwork status, invoices and client prospects. Its MCP tools operate on the signed-in user’s workspace. A connected agent can prepare the work while the producer reviews decisions.
Connect
In ChatGPT Work, open Plugins → Personal → Created by you, then connect SetClerk. If tools appear outdated after an update, refresh the connection and verify tool discovery.
MCP endpoint: https://setclerk.definate.chatgpt.site/mcp
Authentication is handled by the host. Never paste passwords or API keys into prompts. Each tool uses the signed-in account’s records. Public directory distribution and independent client compatibility have not yet been verified.
Try a complete workflow
- “Create a project for my October 12 interview shoot in Los Angeles.”
- “Find gaffers already saved in my SetClerk directory.”
- “Add this person to the shoot as Not contacted and create their paperwork checklist.”
- “Draft a branded call-sheet email from the saved production details.”
- “Create a $1,500 shoot invoice plus $350 equipment. Save it as a draft.”
Required details must be supplied or read from saved records. Drafting an email does not send it. A saved assignment does not mean the person has accepted a booking.
Operational boundaries
- Use the agent’s web-search tools for new crew and client discovery, then save source-backed candidates. SetClerk itself currently searches saved contacts only.
- Use nextCursor to page through records. Use the returned _version as expectedVersion when updating.
- Reuse requestId when retrying invoice or contractor-payment creates. If a write fails ambiguously, inspect records before creating a new request.
- Payments are manual ledger entries. No transfers, tax filing, automatic reminders or Instagram DMs run through these tools.
- Tax-form tools expose metadata and review status, not form contents or tax IDs.
Current status
Early access. Paid billing activation, email delivery, secure contractor submissions, retention/deletion operations and independent client testing are still launch work. See the Launch readiness section in the workspace.
